Why supplement a dog?
From Mud Bay Healthy Dog & Cat Almanac
Fall/Winter 2004-2005

People generally give their dogs supplements for one of two reasons:

1) As part of a long-term health maintenance program. Daily vitamin and mineral supplements, digestive enzymes, and probiotics fit into this category.

2) To address specific ongoing (or potential) health problems or illnesses. Calming supplements, weight gain and recovery formulas, hip and joint formulas, and skin and coat supplements fit into this category.

Every dog is unique, and many can benefit from carefully formulated natural supplements
